CCTV appeal after £250-worth of alcohol stolen from Shaftesbury Tesco

ALCOHOL worth more than £250 was stolen from a Shaftesbury supermarket.

Police have released a CCTV image of a person they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which happened at Tesco in Christy’s Lane at around 2.50pm on Wednesday, February 8.

The thief made off with bottles of alcohol with a total value of £264.

The stolen items activated the security alarm as the man exited the store and he ran away from the scene.

PC Jonathan Park, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this theft and I am now in a position to issue a CCTV image of the suspect.

“I would ask anyone with information about his identity to please get in touch.”
