VISITORS to Christmas concerts at a Somerset venue will be able to enjoy carols in a unique setting – under Concorde.
The Fleet Air Arm Museum Christmas concert, at Yeovilton, near Ilchester, is set to take place for two nights – December 12 and 13 – and is held under the wings of the legendary aircraft.
There are also opportunities to dive into the complex hows and whys of conservation and learn about a lesser-known story of D-Day.
Starting at 7pm, the concert has been extended to two nights due to popular demand, and will offer festive tunes and classic songs under the wings of the sole British-built Concorde.
Tickets cost £20 per person, including a mince pie and mulled wine on arrival and tea or coffee during the interval, and are only valid for the night they are purchased for.
Elliott Bailey, public programming manager at the Fleet Air Arm Museum, said: “Due to public demand we are delighted to offer two nights of Carols under Concorde this year. Guests will be able to start their Christmas celebrations with classic Christmas numbers by the HMS Heron Navy Volunteer Band.”
