Caravan stolen from Blandford St Mary found blocking village road

A CARAVAN stolen from a Blandford St Mary property was later found in a nearby village.

Police are appealing for information after the Tabbert Comtesse 680 caravan was taken at around 10pm on Friday, May 5.

The thieves made off with the caravan, towing it away with a black Mitsubishi Shogun.

However, it was subsequently located on Louse Lane, near Spetisbury, following a call from a member of the public reporting that it was blocking the road.

PC Nick May, of Blandford police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the caravan being towed by a black Mitsubishi Shogun at around the relevant time in the Blandford St Mary and Spetisbury areas to please contact us.

“I am also reaching out to residents in those areas to please check their home CCTV cameras to see if they have captured anything that may help us identify the suspect.”

Anyone with information should contact Dorset Police via www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 55230069116, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
