ALCOHOL was taken in a raid at a village shop.

Burglars targeted the Spar, in Yetminster High Street some time around 12.25am on Thursday (March 2).

Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

PC Mike Rumsby, of West Dorset police, said: “An investigation is underway and I would ask any witnesses, or anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity in the area, to please come forward.

“I am also appealing for any motorists who were travelling in the vicinity with a dashcam, or any residents with home CCTV or doorbell cameras, to please check their footage for anything of relevance to help my enquiries.”
