Burglars leave Dorchester shop empty-handed after break-in

BURGLARS forced their way into a Dorchester shop before fleeing when alarms went off, according to police.

The attempted raid happened at around 2.10am on Monday, January 23 at the One Stop store in Kings Road.

It was reported that three men had forced entry to the store but left the premises following the activation of alarm systems.

It is not believed anything was taken.

PC Maddie Barber, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this burglary and I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area during the early hours of Monday, January 23.

“I would also urge residents with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras, as well as any motorists with dashcam who were in the vicinity, to please check their footage for anything that might assist our investigation.”
