Blandford United have announced the appointment of David Walsh as 1st Team Manager and Simon Leney as Assistant Manager.
David has a strong coaching career with spells at AFC Bournemouth, Wimborne Town and Shaftesbury and is currently helping Romsey u23 as well as coaching for Chelsea development. Simon Leney (Assistant Manager) knows the Blandford set up and recently worked with Dave at Shaftesbury.
Dave explained his reason for taking the job with Blandford: “Blandford are a good club, I had a good chat with the board and the committee. Their vision matches my own personal ambitions.
“I presented ideas and our ideas matched. It came about with my assistant Simon, he knew a few people there. Me and Simon worked well together at Shaftesbury when I did the reserves for a little period of time. It was good that me and Simon have found a job to work together in.
The club expect to make announcements on additional coaching staff in the near future as the club continue to push on.
