STUDENTS, parents and carers gathered at Blandford School today, August 22 to pick up their GCSE results.
The school continued to perform above the national average in both English and Maths, as well as excelling in a wide range of subjects including Science, Business Studies, and Engineering.
A school spokesperson said: “Thanks to high quality teaching (recently recognised as good by OFSTED in April 2024) and a comprehensive curriculum, our students are well-prepared to pursue a broad spectrum of post-16 and post-18 opportunities.
“The school takes great pride in supporting students as they transition into Sixth Form studies, vocational courses, or apprenticeships.”
Headteacher Sally Wilson said: “We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students for their focus, dedication, and resilience.
“On average, they have studied nine subjects and completed around 25 exams.
“Their commitment throughout the pre-exam period and during the exams themselves deserves recognition and congratulations.
“As our students move forward into the next phase of their lives, we are confident that they will continue to build on the strong foundation they have established here at The Blandford School.”
