FREDDIE B, a Year 9 pupil at Bryanston School, has earned a place in the PV Dubai 2025 team.
He will travel to Dubai in April to train and compete in polo.
A member of Dorset Polo Club, Freddie from Lytchett Matravers, secured his spot after a series of selection tournaments organised by SUPA (Schools & Universities Polo Association) and Hertfordshire Polo Academy.
Freddie, the youngest of the four youth players chosen, stood out for his horsemanship, team spirit, talent, and positive attitude.
Commenting on the selection, PV Group Dubai, the team’s sponsor, said: “From the initial matches at Hertfordshire Polo Academy to the final selection with SUPA, every young polo player gave it their all.

“The coaches, mentors, and organisers carefully evaluated participants not just for their polo skills but also for their sportsmanship, teamwork, and attitude.”
Expressing his excitement, Freddie said: “I’m really excited to have been selected for this amazing opportunity and am incredibly grateful to the sponsors, Prestige & Village, Hertfordshire Polo Academy, and the Hurlingham Polo Association, for giving me this awesome experience.
“I’m also looking forward to getting to know my teammates.”
Bryanston’s director of riding and equestrian centre manager, Sophie Starr, said: “This is a huge accomplishment for Freddie and testament to his hard work and that of his coaches at the Dorset Polo Club in Lytchett, who tirelessly help and support all of our players here at Bryanston.”
Freddie joined Bryanston Senior School from Bryanston Prep, where he began training at Dorset Polo once a week, participating in both local and national competitions.
This partnership continues into his senior years, with riders regularly entering inter-school competitions throughout the year.
