Biker suffers ‘serious’ injuries in crash near Dorchester

A BIKER suffered ‘serious’ injuries in a crash near Dorchester.

The motorcycle rider was hurt after an incident on the A37 at Wrackleford at around 4.45pm on Saturday (May 13).

Dorset Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

The crash involved a green Volkswagen Tiguan and a yellow Honda motorcycle.

“The male rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are described as serious,” police said.

“The pillion passenger was also taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be serious.

“The driver of the car was uninjured.”

PC Tracey Downer, of the traffic unit, said: “I am carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of this collision and would ask anyone who witnessed what happened to please get in touch.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.

“Finally, I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
