A BIKER suffered “life-changing injuries” after a crash near Dorchester on Tuesday evening (August 25).
Police said the crash, which involved a blue BMW motorcycle and a silver Volkswagen Bora, happened at around 7pm in the Old Sherborne Road between Charlton Down and Buckland Newton.
A Dorset Police spokesperson confirmed the rider of the motorcycle – a man in his 50s from Poundbury – sustained life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The male driver of the car was uninjured.
PC Lauren Hobkirk, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am carrying out enquiries into this collision and I am keen to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area and saw what happened.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.
“There were road closures in place to allow us to safely deal with the incident and I would like to thank everyone for their patience during this time.”
