A MAN from Somerset has died in hospital after he was involved in a crash near Bridport.
A report of a crash involving a silver Yamaha motorcycle was received by Dorset Police at 6.42pm on October 5 on the A35 west of Bridport near Eype.
Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a man in his 20s from Chard in Somerset, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Sadly, the man died in hospital yesterday morning (October 17).
Police say his family has been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
Sergeant Mike Burt, of the serious collision investigation team at Dorset Police, said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family of the young man who sadly died following this collision.
“We owe it to them to carry out a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of the incident and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to please make contact with us.”
