Biker airlifted to hospital after crash on A357 at Horsington

A MAN was airlifted to hospital with ‘potentially life-threatening’ injuries after a crash near Templecombe this morning (September 28).

The man was riding a black Suzuki Bandit 600cc motorbike which hit a wall before colliding with a grey Kia Picanto, police said, on the A357 at Horsington at around 8.15am.

“The man’s condition is currently described as potentially life-threatening. His next of kin are aware,” an Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said.

“The woman driver of the Kia was uninjured.”

The road remains closed pending recovery of the vehicles, they added.

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who saw either vehicle in the moments before the collision, or who has any dashcam or other footage of the motorbike or the car.”

Anyone who can help should contact police on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5223236553.
