Woman suffers ‘life-threatening injuries’ in crash near Badbury Rings

A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash near Badbury Rings this morning (September 28).

The incident, which involved a white Citroen C1, happened at just after 6am on the B3082 Blandford Road, near Badbury Rings.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “The female driver of the vehicle – aged in her 20s from North Dorset – was taken to hospital by the air ambulance with serious injuries.

“Her condition is described as life-threatening and her family has been informed.”

The road is currently closed while emergency services safely deal with the incident.

Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision.

“I am appealing to any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or anyone who have may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, to please get in touch.

“Finally, I would like to thank everyone for their patience while the road closure is in place. This allows us to conduct a thorough examination of the scene.”
