Audition for a role in this year’s Wincanton panto!

BUDDING actors are being encouraged to try their luck for a role in an upcoming pantomime.

Wincanton Amateur Dramatics Society (WADS) has announced the 2024 show will be Cinderella.

And people are now being urged to audition for an on-stage role, or backstage position, with auditions set for July.

“If you are a budding actor or actress, someone who may want to dip their toe in the water with a chorus role, or fancy helping out with one of the many off stage roles then why not come along to our auditions,” a WADS spokesperson said.

The auditions are being held at Wincanton Memorial Hall on Sunday, July 9, from 2.30pm.

“Our Directors this year are Dawn Henson and Maggie Benson,” the spokesperson added.

“We are a friendly and inclusive am dram group and we always make new people welcome.

“It would be great to see some new faces.”
