Arrest made after man allegedly shouts and hits cars

A MAN aged in his 40s has been arrested in Shaftesbury after reportedly shouting and swearing at people and hitting cars.

Officers were called to the incident in Landside Road during the early evening of Wednesday, May 27 and are now asking for witnesses to come forward.

The man was arrested on suspicion of using threating/abusive words/behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress and was taken to custody.

A spokesman said: “We believe that there were people in the area who have not yet spoken with us and we would ask them to please come forward as you may be able to assist with further information.”
