Arrest after woman in her 20s allegedly sexually assaulted in Warminster

POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted in a Warminster street – with a man in his 20s arrested.

The incident occurred in Woodcock Road, Warminster, at around 3.30am on August 21.

“A man in his 20s, from Trowbridge, has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has since been released on conditional bail whilst further enquiries are carried out,” a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said.

“We believe a passer-by offered assistance following the incident and may have witnessed what happened.”
