POLICE have issued a renewed appeal to trace a vehicle seen in the area of a burglary in Bridport.

Between 8.30am on Saturday, September 9, and 2pm the following day, a property in the area of Lee Lane was broken into and several items of jewellery stolen.

PC Tim Sturgess, of Bridport police, said: “These items of jewellery were of great sentimental value to the victim and we are continuing to explore all available lines of enquiry to identify those responsible for this burglary.

“I am now appealing to the public for anyone who witnessed a silver Ford Mondeo saloon in the area of Lee Lane, King Charles Way or Jessop Avenue, as well as the surrounding area, between 1.30pm and 2.30pm on Saturday, September 9, to please contact us.

“The vehicle is a third generation Ford Mondeo, of the type produced between 2006 and 2012, although the registration plate may not necessarily reflect this.

“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam, doorbell camera or CCTV footage of this vehicle, which may have been parked up in the area around the relevant timeframe.

“Furthermore, I am continuing to appeal to anyone with further information regarding this burglary to please get in touch.”
