Acreman Street Antiques in Sherborne has been busy getting ready for its specialist coin and banknote auction on 22 April (the catalogue is available to view on easyliveauction.com) as well as the general antiques, fine art and collectors sale on 29 April.
With the arrival of spring and some early warmth and sunshine, people are starting to think about tidying up their gardens. There’s a large selection of garden furniture, pots and figures in Acreman’s upcoming general sale. Of particular note is a large-scale antique Lister steam engine and pump, mounted on wheels and estimated at £200-300. There’s also a fabulous collection of around 100 vesta cases; a number of antique air-twist glasses, including rummers; a collection of antique framed horse racing prints; and the usual furniture, jewellery, silver and watches, including entries being sold on behalf of the Yeovil Hospital Charity Breast Cancer Unit Appeal.
Make sure to note 20 May in your diary, when Acreman holds its specialist textile, fashion and apparel auction. There’s also the regular general antiques auction at the end of the month.
Acreman Street Antiques is very happy to advise on any items you may be wishing to enter into auction. Its knowledgeable staff can also make home visits and arrange house clearances where required.
