THE A303 in Somerset is closed in both directions after a ‘serious’ crash.
The incident happened some time around 3.15pm this afternoon and has closed the road between the A37 Podimore Roundabout and the A359 Hazelgrove roundabout at Sparkford.
Drivers are being warned of delays for several hours to come.
A Highways spokesperson said: “A303 both ways closed, slow traffic due to serious accident, a car and a van involved.”
They said it expects the road to fully re-open at around 6pm.
