A marathon fundraising effort for The Red Cross at St Nicholas Primary

Congratulations to the pupils and staff of St Nicholas Church of England Primary School, Henstridge. All pupils in each year group completed the school marathon, raising a fantastic £1363.50 for The British Red Cross.

In their whole school assembly, the children enjoyed hearing about how the money raised will help many refugee families.

Headteacher, Mrs Alison Shearer, said: “A sincere thank you to our whole school community for their support and commitment in showing kindness to others. It was fantastic to see the children’s perseverance and determination to keep running to the finish line.

“A heartfelt thank you to all of our school staff who encouraged and ran alongside the children. Thank you to our school parents for making this fundraising project such a success.”
