Windows smashed and equipment stolen in fire station break-in

WINDOWS and equipment were damaged at a Dorset fire station during an incident over the weekend.

Dorset Police said officers received a report at around 11.34am on Saturday (June 13) of a break-in at Maiden Newton fire station, with equipment stolen.

PC Richard Robson, of Dorset Police, said: “We have launched a full investigation into this incident and are carrying out detailed enquiries to identify those involved.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of the fire station overnight between Friday 12 June and Saturday 13 June 2026, or who may have captured relevant CCTV footage, to please contact us.”
