Music, food, and farming celebs on offer at Dorset Tractor Fest!

A CLASSIC country show with a festival vibe is rolling in to Motcombe.

Dorset Tractor Fest will welcome a host of classic and modern vehicles, as well as farming icons such as Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper, Olly Harrison and the Red Shepherdess, to the Turnpike Showground next month.

Meanwhile, music will come from the likes of rural icons The Wurzels, who will perform alongside acts including Hayseed Dixie, Foo Farmers and more across three stages.

Organisers promise an event suitable for the whole family, with a tractor and steam show running alongside the music and celebrity appearances, plus wrestling, motorbike stunts, a funfair and much more.

Food and drink will be on offer from a host of British producers to support UK farmers, supported by the Yellow Wellies charity – The Farm Safety Foundation – which will receive £1 from every ticket sold.

Organisers said the event, which runs across June 5 to 7, was not aimed at replacing the Great Dorset Steam Fair, but would “go some way” to filling the gap in the calendar.

“Nothing could replace the GDSF, which we all loved, but there’s no doubt it left a void and we hope Dorset Tractor Fest will go some way towards filling that with this modern take on a country show and steam rally,” a spokesperson added.

Tickets for the Dorset Tractor Fest are available on the day, in in advance online via dorsettractorfest.co.uk.

Gates open to campers from noon on Friday, June 5, and the arena opens at 5pm, and at noon on Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7.
