New date announced for postponed Blackmore Vale Half Marathon

A NEW date has been announced for the Blackmore Vale Half Marathon – which was postponed last month due to bad weather.

Initially due to start on February 1, the event will now take place at 10am on Sunday, July 12.

The run was postponed last month due to bad weather and flooding around the course, which starts and finishes at Bishop’s Caundle.

“Entries from February are automatically carried over, as are some who were unable to run in the rescheduled event last year,” a spokesperson said.

“The Fun Run will start about 10 minutes later.”

Entries are still open via the England Athletics entry portal at englandathletics.sport80.com/public/wizard/e/30296/home, or bvlhm.yolasite.com.

Postal entries are also accepted, as are on-the-day entrants if space permits.
