Teen suffers “serious injuries” in Dorchester crash

A TEENAGER was taken to hospital after suffering “serious injuries” in a crash in Dorchester.

The incident, at the junction of Cornwall Road, Maumbury Road, Great Western Road and Damers Road, happened at around 6.45pm on Monday (March 16), involving a lorry and a motorbike.

The motorbike rider – an 18-year-old man from the Weymouth area – was taken to hospital with “serious but not life-threatening injuries”, police said.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene.

Police Sergeant Paul Hind, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken with officers to please come forward.

“Also, I am keen to hear from any motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
