POLICE are investigating a burglary at a petrol station in Shaftesbury in the early hours of this morning.

Officers were called at 2.48am on Friday, March 6, following a report of a break-in at the Tesco petrol station in Christy’s Lane.

Dorset Police said enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A spokesperson said: “We received a report at 2.48am on Friday 6 March 2026 of a burglary at the Tesco petrol station in Christy’s Lane in Shaftesbury.

“Officers are carrying out enquiries into the incident. No arrests have been made.”

It is not yet known what, if anything, was taken during the burglary.

Police have not released further details while the investigation continues.
