POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was pushed to the ground in Shaftesbury.
The assault reportedly took place outside a property in Vale View at around 6.55pm on Tuesday (July 15).
Dorset Police said the man was reported as acting aggressively before pushing the woman to the floor.
Luckily, the woman did not sustain any injuries.
A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and has been released on bail while the investigation continues.

The force said a member of the public came to the woman’s aid and they are keen to speak to them or any other witnesses.
Police Sergeant Mia Jakeman, of Dorset Police, said: “An investigation is underway into this incident, which involved two people who are known to each other.
“I understand a member of the public came to the victim’s aid and I would ask them to please come forward as they may have important information to assist my enquiries.
“Also, I am appealing to any witnesses or anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on home CCTV or doorbell camera footage to please get in touch.”
