1,800 jobs at risk as Carpetright set for administration

MORE than 1,800 jobs are at risk after Carpetright announced it was set to appoint administrators.

The firm, which has branches 272 stores across the UK – including in Glastonbury, Yeovil, Dorchester, Poole and Salisbury – has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators while it works to secure extra funding.

The advisory firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has been lined up to handle the administration, with all branches remaining open for now.
